Math: We will be starting a new unit on Tuesday over measurement. We will learn about capacity, volume, length, and elapsed time. This unit is a fun hands on unit as we will work on comparing different sizes, measuring and converting measurement, and learning how to find elapsed time,
Reading: Our main focus this week will be story structure and the author's purpose for our basal story Sarah Plain and Tall. In grammar we will be working on adding suffixes to words, learning when to double a consonant, drop the y and add an "i", or simply add the suffix.
Science: The class will be starting a new weather unit. We will learn about different hazardous weather situations, how storms form, and how we can protect ourselves in the event of hazardous weather. This unit will follow up with a couple of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematic) activities. Be looking for more information in the upcoming blog posts.
