MAP Assessments: We will do our last MAP assessment this week. We will test on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. This data we use to divide our tier 2 and tier 3 groups for our WIN time for math and reading. This data also gives us a good look at growth over the year for each of the students. We will test each day from 12:30-1:30. Please try to schedule appointments around these times.
Boosterthon: April 30th we will kick off the Boosterthon. The PTC is sponsoring this event as our last fundraiser for the year. Students will bring home information after the pep assembly on the 30th. They will be collecting donations for laps run/walked during our FUN RUN on May 9th. We will also be having a short "team huddle" everyday working up to the fun run day. The team huddles will focus on character development.
New Schedule: We will be doing a trial run of a new daily schedule starting next week. This new schedule will be building wide. It will help us streamline our WIN (What I need) tier 2 instruction, will allow for extra recess time for all grades, and will add technology into the specials schedule. By doing a trial run, we will be able to work out any kinks to make sure that it works before next year. I will make sure and send home the new schedule with the newsletter. I will also attach it to our information page on the www.tesmillersminutes.weebly.com.
Field Day: May 7th is our annual field day at the Chieftain Park. 3rd grade will walk to the park almost as soon as we get to school to start our first event at 8:30. Look below for the times and list of events.

Please make sure your child has tennis shoes, and sunscreen on that morning. Students need to bring a water bottle labeled with their name on the bottle. If anyone has a sports wagon that I could borrow for the day, it would be highly appreciated!!
